EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
LISA MAGUIRE

Lisa Maguire is an accomplished producer who joined Headlong as Executive Director in 2021, working alongside Artistic Director Holly Race Roughan. She brings over two decades of experience across the UK theatre landscape, including a decade at National Theatre Wales, where she oversaw the creation of more than 40 multi-artform productions. Her work there spanned the intimate to the epic, staged in an extraordinary range of locations across Wales, internationally and online.

Before NTW, Lisa was Executive Producer at Frantic Assembly for seven years. She has also worked at the Young Vic and Lyric Hammersmith, and her independent producing credits include projects with Manchester International Festival, The Work Theatre Collective and on the London fringe. She studied Drama & Theatre Arts at Goldsmiths, University of London, and is a trustee of Common Wealth.

Highlights from her time at NTW include Tonypandemonium, The Gathering/Yr Helfa, Mametz, Iliad, City of the Unexpected, We’re Still Here, Refrain, and On Bear Ridge.

At Headlong, Lisa continues to champion bold, socially engaged storytelling. She is passionate about exploring how a producing powerhouse like Headlong can respond creatively to the challenges facing the theatre sector, while reaching audiences across the UK and contributing to a fairer, more sustainable cultural landscape.
